Welcome to our FAQS page

Here you will find some of the most popular questions we get asked. If you can’t find the answer you need then please feel free to contact us and we will endeavour to answer your question.

Are 4 Seasons Lawn Care treatments child and pet friendly?

Yes, our advice is to refrain from using your lawn for 1-2 hours to allow the products to dry and work into the soil.

Grazing animals, e.g. rabbits and similar should stay off the lawn for 2 weeks and dogs and cats need to be kept off the lawn 1-2 hours after treatment to allow the lawn to dry.

I already have a gardener, can they just apply the lawn treatments?

Lawn treatment is very specialised and not all gardeners have the relevant Licence and training to use the products that we use at 4 Seasons LawnCare. The lawn is best left to the professional lawn care companies that have the knowledge and equipment to bring out the best in your lawn. Whilst we apply the treatments your gardener can continue to look after the rest of the garden.

Is it expensive to employ a Lawn Care Specialist and Gardener and are there payment options available?

Our products and services are cost effective and we have a number of options for payment that allow for flexibility with your payment plan. Options are: Pay as You Go, we only recommend that payment is made within 7 days. You can also pay monthly by Direct Debit and save 10% We will simply divide the planned services fee by the appropriate number of months.

Does my garden need seeding?

Over seeding is one of the most important processes to grow a healthy lawn. Lawns that have not been over seeded will grow thin and unhealthy, allowing any weeds to establish and completely take over the lawn.

How often does my lawn need scarifying?

Scarifying is executed to remove the build up of thatch, this is the layer of Dead Organic Matter on the top of the Soil. This process will eliminate a heavy layer of thatch that will keep grass seed from germinating, as all the grass seed needs to be in contact with the soil. Usually the procedure is carried out in the Spring and Autumn.

How does my lawn get aeriated?

Aeration is the key to a healthy lawn and the treatment involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow AIR, WATER and NUTRIENTS to penetrate the grass roots. The process helps to produce a stronger more vigorous lawn.

Is my lawn treatment going to be expensive?

Lawn Treatment Programmes produced by 4 Seasons Lawn Care are very cost effective and we use the highest quality products in our lawn care maintenance programmes. The treatments are generally cheaper than doing it yourself.
